When a medium uses Clairvoyance, Clairsentience or even Clairaudience, s/he will often sense colours according to his or her particular most developed psychic sense.

Colours also represent the different Chakras, which I will be posting a page about shortly.

But the way we sense colours can be different to each one of us. We sense colours according to our own life experiences, so, when you are studying Spiritual and Psychic Development, never assume that a colour should ‘mean’ something very specific because someone else has told you it has a particular meaning to them.

It does help though, to learn how you and your spirit guide associate different colours, because this could be the way he or she presents a message to you. However, most of the time the message will be presented in a way you understand, as your guides know you well.

In this case, it is handy to make a note of different colours and what they mean to you. To easily know what sense you have when you see or feel a particular colour.

These are what various colours mean to me:

  • Red: bold, sexual, vibrant, anger, rage, fury.
  • Light Blue: young, distant, disconnected, arrogant, light, aloof.
  • Lilac: almost there, light spiritual sight, money?, flowers, light smells.
  • Dark Green: sagaciousness, forests, satin, upset stomach!, Robin Hood.
  • Navy Blue: School uniform, middle class, ethics, law, medicine, rough fabric.
  • Royal Blue: Love, light, spirit, happiness, youth, happiness, fulfillment.
  • Purple: flowers, royalty, power, in control.
  • Yellow: open, sunny, bright, clever, street-wise, lemon curd custard (yeuk!).
  • Brown: Mud, denseness, earth, ditches, deep, comfortable, but messy, dirty hands.
  • Cerise: my sister, funny, calming, feminine, a bit ‘loud’, flowers.
  • Black: Goth, ravens, unexplained, cloaks covering things, don’t think it’s ‘bad’ but portrayed as such, slinky.
  • Torquoise: unsure, between things, bird’s wings, precious.

As you can see, those colours relate very much to my life experiences. Admittedly, some of them are pretty usual, but others are not.

How do you sense different colours? I bet you do not always sense them the same as I do.
